1.    ENSURE PHYSICAL DISTANCING

Requirement

Actions

Ensure participants, volunteers and organisers are 1.5 metres apart as much as possible.

Provide distance markings at canteen, kitchen, changerooms, viewing deck and bar.

 

Place posters in change rooms and club rooms reminding of physical distance requirements

 

Use front for entry and rear for exit of clubrooms

 

Calculate and create Display posters of maximum people density per room based on 1 person per 4m2

 

Arrange furniture in clubrooms to ensure physical distance requirements during seating

 

Appoint officers to monitor density requirements on entry to normally high density areas e.g. rooms

 

Reinforce distancing messaging to volunteers and players at Thursday Night selections, speeches after games. Post this plan to our website and create a front page summary of plan to display on site.

 

Conduct committee meetings via Zoom whenever possible

 

Ensure number of volunteers in normally high density areas meet density requirements and adjust service levels to accomplish this by reducing service or increasing distribution points for service.

 

2.    WEAR A FACE MASK

Requirement

Actions

All participants, volunteers and organisers entering the social rooms, wear a face mask as per public health advice.

Identify face masks and gloves required for the club rooms. All people serving drink/food will be required to wear a facemask and gloves.

 

Officers monitor use of face masks by all participants, volunteers and organizers and people who attend the club rooms unless a lawful exemption applies.

 

Instruct volunteers to regularly wash cloth masks

 

Investigate installation of protection barriers at bar and canteen.

3.    PRACTISE GOOD HYGEINE

Requirement

Actions

Clean surfaces with appropriate cleaning products including detergent and disinfectants

Identify high touch use areas such as door handles, bar and canteen items, iPads.

Replace high touch communal items with hygienic alternatives such as one touch systems.

Create a venue and high touch cleaning schedule and publish this schedule.

Minimising sharing of equipment. Clean and disinfect between uses.

Identify and purchase cleaning products required.

Clean between any usage sessions

Monitor supply of cleaning products and keep stock

Encourage regular hand washing.

Swap shared use items e.g. glasses/coffee/cutlery – for single use items.

 

Install no touch amenities where possible and ensure soap and hand sanitisers are dispersed through all areas.

 

Avoid sharing any equipment where possible

 

Encourage participants and volunteers to bring their own personal equipment where possible.

 

No sharing of personal equipment such as water bottles. Label names on water bottles.

 

Ensure rubbish bins are available to dispose of paper towel and ensure adequate stocking of paper towel.

 

Ensure information on how to wash and sanitise hands correctly is displayed

 

Ensure that all attendees wash/sanitise hands on arrival and departure from our venue.

4.    KEEP RECORDS AND ACT QUICKLY IF PARTICIPANTS, VOLUNTEERS OR ORGANIZERS BECOME UNWELL

Have a system or process in place if someone is notified by health authorities that they are a positive case.

Adopt a scan register of details for those that attend our venue

Have a system or process in place to identify close contacts from the club if a positive case is identified as having attended the club.

Create a cleaning process in the event of a positive case.

Have a process to clean the venue if a positive case is identified

Establish who is responsible for notifying DHHS and Worksafe if a positive case is identified i.e. COVID Officer

Be able to provide a copy of any risk assessment conducted and provide close contacts to DHHS

Review processes to obtain up to date contact information on all volunteers, participants, and organizers.

Notify Worksafe of anyone identified as positive who may be working onsite.

 

                                                                                                                                                                  

5.    AVOID INTERACTIONS IN ENCLOSED SPACES

Actions

Reduce the amount of time participants, volunteers and organizers spend in enclosed spaces.

Encourage people to be outdoors with use of heaters etc.

 

Set up drink stations etc outside.

 

Ensure maximum ventilation in all rooms with windows open where practical.

 

Where applicable, reduce the amount of activity in foyers, changerooms, entrances and bathrooms.

   

6.    CREATE WORKFORCE ACTIVITY BUBBLES

Actions

Limit the amount of participants, volunteers, organizers engaging in activities across multiple teams/venues/facilities.

Encourage separate teams to train as a team rather than mix teams

 

Where possible keep training drills to positional status

 

Do not share equipment between bubbles
